Products
Each 4-H youth member participates in a livestock project. In the Cranbrook & District 4-H, there are three livestock product options: Steer, lamb, or swine. When each member has completed their project, they are shown and auctioned off at the annual Show & Sale. Successful bidders will have their meat processed by a local butcher.
It is important to remember that 4-H youth are producers in your community. Throughout their projects, they take pride in producing a high quality meat product. Their livestock are treated ethically, which results in a meat that has not been exposed to stress. Producing profit on their projects results in their ability to further their livestock projects in following years. These producers are proud to contribute to environment and economy of their community.
