Meet the Producers

Hello, my name is Emmadeia, and I have been a part of the South Country Crafts and Critters 4H Club for five years. This is also my fifth year in swine! My market hog’s name is Bruce, and he is a Landrace/Duroc Cross. Currently he weighs approximately 250 pounds. My goal weight is 265 pounds for the 4H live auction June 5, 2022, at Wycliffe Exhibition Grounds. For me 4H has been a great way of getting out of my comfort zone and learning new things. Outside of 4H I play school sports such as volleyball and basketball, I also love to hangout with my friends. I want to give a big thanks to Teck Coal for purchasing my swine last year and for all your support. I have learned so much through 4H and I am so grateful for all the opportunities I’ve had because of it. I am very excited to show Bruce this year and look forward to seeing everyone there.

Donnie is a Landrace\Duroc Cross and approximately weighs 250 pounds. My goal weight is 265 pounds for the 4H live auction June 5, 2022, at Wycliffe Exhibition Grounds. Being a part of 4H has taught me a lot over the years from great responsibilities to the importance of keeping up to date feed logs. I would like to thank Terry Jensen for purchasing my market hog last year. I am very grateful to have had your support.

Hello, my name is Payton Hutchinson, and I am 11 years old. I have been in South Country Craft and Critters 4H Club for 5 years. My hog’s name is Carl His breed is Landrace/Duroc cross, and we got him from Sunset Hogs in Alberta I think he will finish around 270 pounds. I would like to thank Kent Holmes for purchasing my hog last year. The 4H projects I am in are beef, swine, sewing, and foods. I love 4h because of all the life skills it has taught me. We learn to do by doing, from public speaking to making my own sweater from scratch.

Hello, my name is Riley Stankewich and this is my second year in South Country 4-H Club and my second year doing a market hog. My pig’s name is Javier and my goal is to get his weight to about 300 pounds for him to be auctioned off on June 5th, he is a lean, clean, eating machine pig. While raising my pig out in Baynes Lake me and my family have learned a lot from learning their diet, to building their pen, and watching them sprint around their pen whenever I go see them, to the hard work and responsibilities of raising animals. Outside of 4-H I enjoy sports, dirt biking, and the outdoors, I am looking forward to my first live swine auction.

At feeding time, he is such a “Hog” haha I like 4-H because I want to be a vet and 4-H teaches me a lot. I have learned lots of new things. I am excited for my first live show and sale this year.

Hello, my name is Chris Gregr and I have been in South Country Craft and Critters 4H club for 6 years. This is my fifth swine project. My swine’s name is Waddles. He weighs approximately 180 lbs. He is a Landrace Yorkshire cross. My goal is to have him weigh 220 lbs for the Auction on June 5th, 2022. I enjoy 4h because I like the responsibility it teaches and the fact that I can earn my own money. I have learned that it is a lot of challenging work but in the end the lessons you learn are invaluable. I ride dirt bikes, play video games, baseball, and I love to watch comedies. I would like to thank M & H Logging for purchasing my grand champion swine in 2021.
