Brooklyn Clarke Swine.tiff

Hi my name is Brooklyn Clarke and this is my third year in South Country Crafts and Critters 4-H club. This is my second year doing a market hog. My pig’s name is Mudpie and he is so cute and friendly. Mudpie’s favourite thing to do is drink fresh water straight from the hose. I love to do public speaking with 4-H and this year I got first place in our club. I can’t wait to compete in showmanship one day. I’d like to thank Joe Trottier for buying my pig last year.

Hello my name is Caleb Oestreich and this is my 3rd Year in South Country Crafts and Critters 4-H Club. This is my 1st Swine Project. My pig does not have a name but he sure is great! My pig is approximately 250lbs and he is a Landrace cross. My goal is to have him weigh 280lbs for the auction on June 5th, 2021. I purchased him from Sunset Hogs. My favourite thing about my pig is that he is funny and runs around like a happy little (big) pig. 4-H has taught me confidence and that I can accomplish hard things. Other things that I like to do include baseball, dirt biking, building things and working outside with my dad.

Hello, my name is Chris Gregr and I have been in South Country Craft and Critters 4H club for 5 years. This is my 5th project Swine. My pigs name is Dunham, and he weighs approximately 260lbs. He is a Landrace-Duroc cross. My goal is to have him weigh 290lbs for the Auction on June 5th, 2021. I purchased Dunham from the Sun Set Hutterite Colony in Pincher Creek Alberta. My favorite part of 4-H is when we get to go on adventures and the food we make. I have learned many things throughout the years. I have learned how to write a speech and deliver it with confidence among other things. Raising my pigs, I have learned that each one has their own personality, and they can be very friendly. They are also very mischievous and will get into anything with in their reach. Aside from 4-H, I enjoy snowboarding, dirt biking and video games. I really enjoy listening to music. I would like to thank Leah Folkman and Marian Gravelle for their support last year in the purchase of my pig.

Hello my name is Emma Wilson and I have been in South Country Craft and Critters 4-H club for 4 years. This is also my 4th year in Swine. My pigs name is Chewy and he weighs approximately 250lbs. He is a Landrace cross. My goal is to have him weigh 265 for the Auction on June 5th, 2021. Chewy has been homegrown on our little farm here in Elko BC. 4-H has given me the opportunity to learn new things, keep record books as well as responsibilities. I’ve learned many things raising swine for 4- H, they like to make a mess, eat lots and get big fast! When I’m not busy raising animals I enjoy team sports, I play volleyball and basketball. I would like to thank Lotic Environmental Ltd for purchasing my pig last year. I couldn’t have done 4-H without you!

Hello my name is Hunter Wilson and I have been in South Country Craft and Critters 4-H club for 4 years. This is also my 4th year in Swine. My pig’s name is Bobby P and he is Landrace cross. Bobby weighs approximately 255lbs and my goal is to have him weigh 265 lbs for the Auction on June 5th, 2021. I raised my pig on my family’s acreage in Elko BC. I have learned a lot raising pigs in 4-H, keeping farm record books, managing finances and most importantly hard work and responsibilities. When I’m not raising pigs I enjoy fishing and playing sports. I would like to thank K.C Drilling for your supporting me last year. You’ve given me the opportunity to continue this adventure.

My name is Payton Hutchinson and I am 10 years old. My hogs name is Bob His breed is landrace/duroc cross, and we got him from Sunset Hogs in Alberta. I think he will finish around 270lbs. I would like to thank Mcdonald Enterprises for purchasing my hog last year. Years in 4-H: 3 Projects in 4-H: beef, swine, sewing, horse I love being in 4-H because of all the things we learn, we got to go on a night trek in Outdoor Living, and go on a big scavenger hunt in the dark. I also learn how to care for animals and train them for show day.

Hi my name is Riley Stankewich and this is my first year joining South Country 4-H club and my first year doing a market hog. My pigs name is Jaboris and my goal is to get his weight to about 280 lbs for him to be auctioned out on June 5th, he is a lean, clean, eating machine pig. While raising my pig out in Baynes Lake me and my family have learned a lot from learning their diet, to building their pen, and watching them sprint around their pen whenever I go see them, to the hard work and responsibilities of raising animals. Outside of 4-H I enjoy sports, dirt biking, and the outdoors. I am looking forward to my first swine auction.

Hello my name is Ronan Oestreich and this is my 2nd year in South Country Crafts and Critters 4-H Club. This is my 2nd Swine Project. My pig does not have a name but we sure love him! My pig is approximately 250lbs and he is a crossbreed. My goal is to have him weight 277lbs for the auction on June 5th 2021. I purchased him from Sunset Hogs. My favourite thing about my pig is how he lays in the food trough so no he is first in line for food every time. 4-H has taught me that I can be calm and tough at the same time I’ve also enjoyed getting involved in group activities. Other things I enjoy doing are playing baseball, playing with friends and learning about technology. I would love to say thank you to my last year buyer: Lance Filimek. Thank you for the support!

Hello my name is Ryenn and I am 10 years old. This is my first year in 4-H. I belong to South Country Crafts and Critters club. This year my project is swine. My pigs name is Porkchop. He is a market hog. I think he will weigh about 280 pounds. He is very friendly. His favourite treat is watermelon and he hates cupcakes. I like 4-H because I want to be a vet and 4-H teaches me a lot. I have met lots nice people and have learned new things. We don’t get to do a show and sale this year because of Covid, but I hope to experience it for first time next year.

My name is Sawyer Hutchinson and I am 13. My hogs name is Freddie. His breed is landrace/ duroc cross, and we got him from Sunset Hogs in Alberta I think he will finish around 290lbs. I would like to thank Dr Soetart and Randy and Grace Sandberg for purchasing my hog last year. Years in 4-H: 6 Projects in 4-H: beef, swine, small engines, outdoor living I love 4-H because of all the life skills it has taught me. From rebuilding a lawn mower engine to learning how to pull a calf we are always learning new things.

Hello my name is Taylor Clarke and I have been in South Country Crafts and Critters 4-H club for five years. This is my fourth year doing market hog. My pigs name is Cow and by weigh in I think he will weigh 290lbs. He is a landrace cross from Sunset Hogs. My favourite part of 4-H is that I get to do much more than pig and sewing, like suturing and inoculations.

Hello, my name is Donald Lippert and I have been in Cranbrook 4-H Multi Club for 4 years. This is my 4th swine project. My pigs name is Bacon Chops and he weighs approximately 265 lbs. He is a Landrace cross. My goal is to have him weigh 300 lbs for the Auction on June 5th, 2021. I like 4-H because of all the new skills we learn, as well as the responsibility of raising an animal and selling them. Besides 4-H I like to ride dirt bikes, bmx and read. I would like to thank Apex Accounting for purchasing my pig in 2020.
